Creekside Consulting began the way most good things do in rural Nebraska — with two women, a shared purpose, and a deep love for the land and the people who work it.

I’m Heather, and agriculture has shaped my life from every angle. I’m a wife to a farmer, a mom to a teenager, and someone who has spent years helping production‑animal businesses find efficiency through software. I’ve seen firsthand the weight producers carry. The early mornings, the late nights, the unpredictable markets, the machinery that breaks at the worst possible time — and then, somehow, after all that, the paperwork still waits on the kitchen table. Farmers and ranchers don’t need more stress. They need support. They need someone who understands the load and can help shoulder it. That’s where Creekside Consulting started.

Creekside is also Carrie, my business partner, friend, and the sunshine‑and‑soil soul of our work. Carrie grew up in rural Nebraska and was going to the farm with her dad before she could walk. Agriculture isn’t just her profession; it’s her lifelong passion. She’s a wife, a dog mom to her lab Klyde, and happiest outdoors — in her garden, on the golf course, or simply soaking up the Nebraska sun. With a degree in Agronomy and 15 years in conservation, Carrie knows the land, the science, and the programs producers rely on. Leaving government employment gave her the freedom to help people directly, without red tape or restrictions. Out here, trust matters. Relationships matter. And Carrie brings both in abundance.

 

Together, we built Creekside Consulting with one mission:

To give agricultural families back their time, their clarity, and their peace of mind. We help producers with monthly bookwork, private, federal and state grant applications, conservation program readiness, and the everyday bookkeeping tasks that keep a business running. We walk alongside our clients — not above them, not behind them — and make sure they have what they need to thrive.

Our work is rooted in service, community, and the belief that agriculture deserves better than being buried under paperwork. We’re here to make things simpler, clearer, and more manageable for the people who feed the world. Creekside Consulting isn’t flashy. It’s not corporate. It’s not built on buzzwords or boardrooms. It’s built on two women who care deeply, work hard, and aren’t afraid to get mud on our boots.
